This spectacular 90’ x 24’ mural spanning Barnes & Noble’s building facade (facing Target) celebrates and illustrates the love of books and reading. Hayley’s World was privately commissioned by Rio and is included on the City of Gaithersburg’s roster of Art in Public Places.

This whimsical sculpture of Fridolin, the bronze bear, and Kimo, a human size bronze cat, encourage a hunt for missing objects. The bronze animals hold open books that tell a story about their character and that describe six lost items — a pocket watch, hat, suitcase, beehive, Dutch shoes and a bag of popcorn with a bird eating from the bag.
