FAQ’s

  • When and where is Taste of rio? Taste of rio takes place Sunday, September 27 from 2–6 PM along the boardwalk overlooking rio’s lakefront, with tastings, live music and entertainment throughout the event area.
  • What is Taste Restaurant Week? From Sept18–26, enjoy limited-time menus, specials and offers at participating restaurants leading up to Taste of rio. Bring a Taste Restaurant Week receipt to Taste of rio on Sept 27 and receive one free tasting ticket per person, while supplies last.
  • Is Taste of rio free to attend? Yes! Admission, live music and entertainment are free. Tasting tickets are required for featured food and drinks.
  • How do tasting tickets work? Each ticket is worth $5. Participating restaurants will offer tastings for one or more tickets, with at least one item available for one ticket.
  • Should I purchase tickets in advance? Yes! Advance purchase is recommended for faster check-in. Additional tickets will be available onsite while supplies last. All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
  • Where do I pick up my tickets? Visit either ticket booth – near Copper Canyon Grill or the Boardwalk Stage. Online purchasers should use the “Online Sales” line and have a photo ID and order confirmation ready.
  • What is included with the VIP Package? VIP guests receive early access, tasting tickets, a welcome cocktail, air-conditioned VIP Lounge access and exclusive swag.
  • Where should I park? Free parking is available throughout rio, including four convenient parking garages.
  • Is Taste of rio family-friendly? Yes! Taste of rio is an all-ages event with food, live music and lakefront entertainment.
  • Can I bring my dog? Yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome throughout rio’s outdoor areas. Individual business policies may vary.
