Our busker program brings live music outside favorites like Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Silver Diner, and to spots like the Fire Lounge, Path to Wellness &  The Carousel presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

You may hear live music on any given day, bringing a lively and spontaneous energy to your visit. We invite you to enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and the vibrant spirit of the season around the Lakefront.

	Ken Kemp: Ken is a lifelong Montgomery County resident and seasoned performing artist with over 57 years of experience in music and theater. As a singer, songwriter, and actor, he has built a dynamic career both on stage and behind the scenes. Since 2024, Ken become a familiar face on the boardwalk, performing regularly and sharing his passion for live music with the community.
	Norris Miller: Norris is a versatile vocalist with experience in both choir and theater. Originally from Jamaica, he has performed internationally and competed on national television. Known for his uplifting and family-friendly music, Norris brings a positive energy to Rio’s visitors.
	Selena Raj: Selena is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in the DMV. With a background in guitar, piano, and ukulele, she performs a mix of original songs and covers that highlight her rich, smoky vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Known for her warm acoustic style and emotional delivery, Selena brings a soulful sound to all of her performances.
	Dave Weber: Dave is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Olney with a versatile style that spans rock, country, and classic soul. Known for his soulful voice and vibrant guitar work, Dave brings energy and heart to every performance. You may find him playing on the boardwalk adding to the lively mix of local musical talent.
