Where is the event located?
The Carousel is located on the Path to Wellness next to the playground, overlooking the lake. For GPS directions, use Uncle Julio’s, 231 Rio Blvd. -
Is the event free?
Yes! National Carousel Day is free to attend. Carousel rides, food, and select activities require a purchase. - Do I need to RSVP?RSVPs are encouraged but not required. Be one of the first 250 guests to show your Eventbrite RSVP at check in and receive a FREE Fantasticks Gelato Pop.

Where should I park?
Free parking is available throughout rio. The DICK’S House of Sport Garage on Grand Corner Avenue offers the most convenient access to the Carousel and event activities. -
What time does the event take place?
The Carousel is open daily from 10 AM–Dusk. National Carousel Day activities take place from 12–3 PM. -
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes! National Carousel Day is designed for families and guests of all ages. -
What happens if it rains?
Activities are weather permitting. Timely event updates will be shared on rio’s social media channels. - Who benefits from the event?The Carousel is presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. Proceeds from the day’s carousel ticket sales support the hospital’s new tower, which brings state-of-the-art emergency and critical care facilities to our community.
