Where is the event located?
The Carousel presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center is located on the Path to Wellness next to the playground, overlooking the lake. For GPS directions, use Uncle Julio’s, 231 Rio Blvd.
Is the event free?
Yes! National Carousel Day is free to attend. Carousel rides, food, and select activities require a purchase.
Do I need to RSVP?
RSVPs are encouraged but not required. The first 250 guests to show their Eventbrite RSVP at check in will receive a FREE Fantasticks Gelato Pop.
Where should I park?
Free parking is available throughout rio. The DICK’S House of Sport Garage on Grand Corner Ave. offers the most convenient access to the Carousel and event activities.
What time is the event?
The Carousel is open from 10 AM–Dusk. National Carousel Day activities take place from 12–3 PM.
What happens if it rains?
Activities are weather permitting. Event updates will be shared on rio’s social media channels.
Who benefits from the event?
Proceeds from the day’s carousel ticket sales supports Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center’s new tower, which brings state-of-the-art emergency and critical care facilities to our community.
